Ostankino TV Tower is one of the tallest buildings in Moscow and ranked fifth in height amongst freestanding buildings in the world - it is 540 meters high.

The tower was being constructed from 1963 to 1967, while there was an urgent need in the center of radio and television in Moscow. Today the tower is broadcasting on the territory within a population of over 15 million people and it is the center of television broadcasting throughout the country.

Because of the fire in the year 2000 tower's structure has changed slightly: unfortunately the restaurant "Seven Heavens" was closed, it was one of the most famous restaurants ever existed in Moscow. The restaurant occupied three floors, annular space of which was rotating around its axis, so that visitors could stay at their table to see the panorama of Moscow.

By now the best viewing platform in Moscow has been completely refurbished. It is located at an altitude of 337 meters above the ground, and apart from the panoramic windows you will be amazed by floor windows made of observing glass. You will see the center of Moscow beneath your feet. You can visit the tower Museum, where you will learn the history of Ostankino TV Tower, its unique design features, and much more.
