Russian Ice Sculpture Gallery, occupying the area of 450 square meters is a place where ice sculptures are being exhibited in sub-zero temperatures throughout the year with light musical accompaniment.

During the process of creation Galleries were attended by twelve best sculptors of Russia – winners of international and national competitions in ice sculpturing. The project is unique in its nature in our country and abroad. More than 90 tons of specially grown from spring water crystal clear ice were used to create the ice museum. Famous theatrical decorators and designers of the capital were involved in designing rooms of the Ice Gallery.

Subject of the ice exposure is based on the best samples of Russian national culture from the historical Ice House of Queen Anna Ivanovna, including literary characters of fairy tales of Pushkin, A.P. Ershov, Krylov's fables, which makes the show interesting for a wide range of visitors ranging from children to foreign tourists.

Russian Ice Sculpture Gallery is located in a beautiful park "Presnya" in the heart of the cultural and business life in close proximity to a few underground stations and other kinds of public transport.


Tour Includes the master class (duration 1 hour 20 minutes):


  • Group meets in the gallery consultant and sculptor.
  • Sculptor gives master-class in the lobby gallery, demonstrates the technique and explains how to create sculptures out of ice (answers questions, gives visitors to work with ice).
  • The group dresses in a warm cloak and goes into the exhibition.
  • Free time for detailed acquaintance with the exposition, photo and video.
